Live Music

At the Library we’re all about supporting local musicians and our lower floor is ideal for sweaty rock shows, intimate acoustic performers, and stand-up comedy alike. In the past we’ve had the likes of Cameron AG, Esther Joy Lane, Girl Power, Julia Meijer, Beta Blocker and the Body Clock, and Rainbow Reservoir perform.

Award-winning comedian and ‘virtuoso’ (Guardian) freestyle rapper Chris Turner, and award winning character comedy from Daniel Nils Roberts, both previewing their Edinburgh Fringe shows. Doors 7pm £4


Weds 26th July, Edinburgh Fringe Previews: Jack Barry & Patrick Turpin

An argument for the legalisation of drugs in the form of stand-up from Jack Barry performing his High Treason show, and Patrick Turpin with a stand-up show/hour of performance art/arse flapping gently in the wind, which rodgers the system quite firmly.Doors 7pm £5


Sun 6th August, Smash Disco: SPQR / Slate Hearts / Egrets

Weird alt-rock from Liverpool’s SPQR w/support from angst ridden grungers Slate Hearts and murky shoegaze from Egrets.Doors 8pm PAY WHAT YOU WANT
